Kitara Camp is the
jewel of the Klaserie camps. Located on the banks
of the Klaserie River, it accommodates 12 guests in
Victorian-style five-star chalets.Each of the six
luxury chalets is fully-fitted with air-conditioning,
complete bathrooms, outdoor showers and private patios.
Kitara is set amongst rolling lawns and well-tended
gardens, an oasis amidst the wild and exciting Klaserie
Private Nature Reserve. It is a peaceful paradise,
an escape from reality. The infinity pool and lounge
deck are set into the bank of the Klaserie River,
with breathtaking views in all directions, creating
the tranquility of being one with the landscape.

Breakfasts are hosted in the spacious polished stone
dining room, or on the sunny decks overlooking the
river and waterhole. The unique boma is the ideal
place for dining on a balmy summer night, or on a
chilly winter evening, with a roaring fire and candlelight
to create the perfectly magical atmosphere.

Four of the six double chalets are situated snugly
upon the riverbank, each with a magnificent view of
the river from the room, en-suite bathroom windows
and private balcony. The bathrooms are luxuriously
fitted, each with bath, shower, and toilet. Two double
chalets are set higher up, overlooking the riverbed
with full en-suite bathrooms and private outside showers.

The outdoor covered bar and lounge serves as a meeting
place for morning coffees and high teas before game-drives,
or for pre and after-dinner drinks. The outdoor bar
and lounge leads into the beautifully decorated indoor
lounge for peaceful moments overlooking the deck and
river. |

Kitara also offers conference facilities for up to
25 people, with accommodation For the other 10 guests
at Nzumba. An elegant little curio shop is situated
at the lodge, for special memorabilia, African artefacts,
amenities and clothing.
