Nzumba, located in a high lying area of the reserve, is a traditional farmhouse style lodge with the thatched central lodge looking south toward the Mariepskop in the Mpumalanga Drakensberg. The camp accommodates 10 guests in luxurious, fully serviced thatched chalets with his and hers private bathrooms (excluding room 5).
Wide verandahs overlooking the waterhole provide for relaxation during the day when not lazing on a pool lounger in the garden, as well as the perfect setting for our delectable high teas, as well as one of the locations for our vast brunches and romantic dinners, keeping a keen eye on the waterhole for wildlife coming to drink. Our candlelit boma with a therapeutic fireplace is the perfect end to the day.
Chalets are luxurious, fitted with airconditioning, private minibar and coffee station. They flank both sides of the main building each with a private veranda. These are separately set, each overlooking the pool and flowing lawns that border onto the bush and a close-by water hole that is often frequented by a variety of game.
The Library/Lounge and TV Bar Lounge are situated in the double story main building that provides for perfect viewing over the waterhole from the upper veranda that leads out from the bar lounge. The lounge, with its leather chairs and memorabilia and dining room are evocative of the romantic colonial era.
